Cross-funktionale Teams at Instaffo

Context
Instaffo is an ambitious, rapidly growing company specializing in tech recruitment. Despite its successful market presence, the management envisioned reorganizing the company to improve customer service. The core idea was to shift from traditional departments to small, cross-functional teams.

Goals and Topics
Key questions in the project included:

  • How can we bring our broad idea to life in detail?
  • How can we effectively communicate our initiative?
  • What does the transition from the old to the new organizational form look like?
  • How do we handle leadership in the new organizational structure?
  • How should we revise our incentive systems to align with the new organizational form?
  • What supportive processes can we establish to maximize the potential of the new structure?

Process
The project’s unique aspect was its speed: from initial contact to implementation of the new organizational form took less than 3 months. This rapid pace was possible due to the creativity and commitment of Instaffo’s employees. Our contributions included:

  • Providing input on key issues.
  • Challenging and refining Instaffo’s ideas.
  • Supporting communication and initial implementation.

A central element of the transformation was the company-wide introduction of retrospectives. This allowed teams to reflect on and improve their collaboration methods. We gained valuable insights into challenges employees faced and provided a platform for addressing these issues. Instaffo continues to use retrospectives for ongoing development.
