Personnel Development/MIKRO Trainings

Alb-Fils Clinics – Fresh Insights on Current Topics

Situation

The Alb-Fils Clinics are a network of hospitals with two locations and the largest healthcare provider in the region between Stuttgart and Ulm.

The conditions we encounter for the target groups of our training sessions reflect the typical challenges of a hospital environment. Participants from nursing management and medical staff usually work in shifts, have limited time, and a broad span of control. As a result, MIKRO trainings are scheduled during off-peak hours and should be conducted in a particularly compact format—partly virtually, and partly in person.

Goals and Topics

Each year, we develop a diverse range of topics in collaboration with the clinic’s management. These topics provide leaders with inputs, practical implementation aids, and opportunities for exchange on currently relevant focal points. We have conducted MIKRO trainings in the clinic context on topics such as:

  • Negotiation: How can I successfully manage negotiation processes with other departments/supervisors?
  • Error Culture: How can we effectively handle mistakes within the team?
  • Delegation of Tasks: How can successful delegation and feedback positively impact work results?
  • Change: How can I provide security to my staff during times of change?

Additionally, we developed a MIKRO training series on agility, presenting new forms of collaboration that have received a positive response.
